LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — Announced by Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, a total of $150,000 in emergency financial assistance will be invested into the City of Hoxie to assist with recovery efforts from storm events of May 2025.

In addition to the declaration, general obligation bonds totaling $25 million for water and wastewater infrastructure operations were approved by the Arkansas Natural Resources Commission.

The decision led to the passage of a series resolution that enabled the issuance and sale of the bonds during a meeting on Wednesday, June 4.

“Ensuring the stability of our water and wastewater systems is vital to the daily lives of Arkansans,” said Chris Colclasure, Director of the Arkansas Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Division.
