DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - On the eve of a special Duluth City Council meeting on the controversial Safe Bay at Vineyard Church, the church held a concert in partnership with Stepping On Up and CHUM to foster positivity.
Thursday the council will either affirm the Planning Commission’s decision to allow a Safe Bay at the church, or reverse it, which would result in the closure of the Safe Bay.
This comes after neighbors of the church in the Kenwood neighborhood filed a lawsuit against the decision.
Therese Presley lives less than a mile away from the church and believes concerns regarding the Safe Bay are overblown.
