Mill River educator Debra Gardner-Baasch to retire after 42 years

NORTH CLARENDON — For Debra Gardner-Baasch, teaching hasn’t looked like just one thing.

From mentoring fellow educators to traditional classroom work to her most recent role as Mill River Unified Union School District’s literacy and multi-tiered systems of support coordinator, Gardner-Baasch has covered the gamut of teaching in her over 40 years in public education.
