SALISBURY — The team of Michael Swaringen and Kevin Lentz won the Championship Flight in the recent 61st annual Grady B. McCanless 4-Ball Tournament.

They prevailed 3 and 2 in the final over Bryson Sprinkle and Jaden Sprinkle.

It came down to the qualifying medalists, Swaringen and Lentz, against the defending champions, the Sprinkles.

“We played some really good golf here, shot 61 in qualifying (9-under) and we were 8-under for 16 holes in the final,” Swaringen said.

It was the fourth “Grady B.” title for Swaringen and the third for Lentz. They also tag-teamed at McCanless in 2024, but didn’t qualify for the Championship Flight. They did manage to take the First Flight.
