“I don’t know if everyone likes their work, but I do,” said Tom Anderson, owner and manager of Tom’s Shoe Repair in downtown Fargo. He should—at 35, he’s been at it since he was 12, and now he figures he spends about 80 hours a week repairing shoes.
“We never get caught up. We’re always swamped,” Tom said.
