CHARLESTON — After several years of planning, the developer of South Carolina's first Four Seasons has set an opening date and other details — like the starting price for the luxury homes that will be part of the Meeting Street hospitality project.

While a shuttered Days Inn motel that takes up much of the site doesn't have a demolition date yet, its days are numbered. Strategic Property Partners is aiming is to break ground this fall at 155 Meeting St. on what will become the Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Charleston.

The opening is scheduled for 2028.

The mixed-use development will blend 139 guest rooms, and 36 condominium with high-end amenities a few blocks south of the City Market in the heart of the Historic District .
