A customer at the UK's biggest Wetherspoons had a candid take when quizzed about the venue's costly makeover.

The Royal Victorian Pavilion in Ramsgate , Kent, has splashed out £750,000 on refurbishments, aiming to stand out as a landmark in the local area.

When a journalist asked a customer for their thoughts on the revamped look and interior design of the establishment, the drinker confessed they hadn't really noticed the alterations, but cheekily suggested there's an item they might pinch.

Speaking to the Telegraph , the customer remarked: "I'm not sure what they've done apart from plant these flowers, which look nice - I might slip them into my handbag."
