Ohio-based General Aluminum Manufacturing Co. is planning to close its facility in Huntington. In a notice to the state, the company said the move will result in the layoffs of 62 employees.

General Aluminum did not provide a reason for the closure of the facility at 1345 Henry Street. Multiple requests from Inside INdiana Business for more information were not returned by deadline Wednesday.

The layoffs are scheduled to begin in phases on August 29, according to a WARN Notice filed with the Indiana
