When I reach at end of day

The hostel where I always stay

A haven in Ohio woods

I find you among my goods

This time I ease you carefully

Onto a nearby buckeye tree

Check to see no thread attached

Your colors are completely matched

I can't restore you to your home

But you're the one who chose to roam

And you will find I have no doubt

That spiders here are much the same

I have confidence that you'll find

Spiders have a mind

That will adapt to new environments

Had I known you were along

I would have sung a spider song

You'll adapt I have no doubt

I also wonder idly

how many things I do not see

That travel along to keep me company
