Artist Monika Mira said on Saturday that she still needs to build the tunnel out of marine debris for the Kauai Society of Artists’ Washed Up Marine Debris Art Show.
“It’s like people coming through marine debris to see the exhibit,” Mira said. “‘Washed Up’ opens on June 7, co-sponsored by the Surfrider Foundation. We have the artists’ reception on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the KSA gallery.”
The art exhibit, which is celebrating its seventh year, is just just one of several events at Kukui Grove that celebrates World Ocean Day on Saturday from 10 a.m. Washed Up is available for viewing daily through June 27 at no charge. The KSA gallery is open daily from noon.
