A man in Greenville was arrested after a person was shot yesterday.

On Wednesday, June 4, at approximately 9:40 a.m., officers with the Greenville Police Department were dispatched to the 200 block of South 6th Street in reference to a person who had been shot.

When officers arrived on scene, they made contact with the 34 year-old-victim, who appeared to be shot in the arm.

The victim was treated, transported and treated at the local hospital. Further investigation led officers to take 63-year-old Elbert Foules of Greenville into custody.

Witnesses say the shooting incident stemmed from an argument between Foules and the victim.

Foules has been charged with one count of Aggravated Assault and is currently awaiting his initial appearance. He is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
