BENTONVILLE, Ark. — A documentary highlighting Dr. John Colbert, a decorated Black educator from Arkansas, will be featured at the 2025 Bentonville Film Festival.

The locally-produced film "COLBERT: All Students Can Learn" follows the life of Colbert, where he grew from a 17-year-old bus driver to the superintendent of Fayetteville Public Schools. His impact on Arkansas education is not only reflected through the community, but his legacy also lives on through the school that bears his name.

Around the same time he retired, Fayetteville Public Schools decided to name a new school John L Colbert Middle School.
