The Kershaw County School Board announced Lori Meyers as the new principal of Midway Elementary School during its school board meeting on June 3. She replaces Gail Stehle who is retiring.

Possessing 21 years of education experience, Meyers joined the Midway Elementary staff as a first and second grade teacher last year when her family relocated to Westville, S.C.

"I'm incredibly honored and excited to serve as the new principal of Midway Elementary. Since joining the Midway family last year, I've been deeply impressed by the staff's unwavering commitment and the strong family ties that define our community. It's clear that Midway isn't just a school - it's a vital hub for this special area," said Meyers.
