LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — A partly sunny to mostly cloudy sky across the state on Thursday with widely scattered showers and storms possible this afternoon into the evening.
Some of the storms could be strong, potentially severe, with gusty winds.
A cold front will be draped across Kentucky on Friday. A wave of low pressure rides along the front, bringing a better chance for storms Friday afternoon into the evening.
The Storm Prediction Center has placed most of the state in a Level 2 risk for severe storms on Friday. Damaging wind gusts will be the primary threat, but isolated large hail and a spin-up tornado can't be ruled out. Localized flash flooding is also possible.
