GIBSON COUNTY, Ind. (WEVV) — A man is behind bars in Gibson County after authorities say he hit a pedestrian while driving on a suspended license.
Gibson County deputies responded to a vehicle-vs-pedestrian crash near the intersection of Locust Street and Walters Street in Fort Branch around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.
During an investigation, authorities say they determined Jon Roeder was driving when he struck a pedestrian on a scooter that was in the roadway.
A medical helicopter was called to take the victim to an area hospital.
Authorities say they discovered Roeder was driving on a suspended license from a prior conviction.
Roeder was taken to the hospital for a blood draw, then booked into the Gibson County Jail.
The incident is still under investigation.
