CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A serious crash shut down Interstate 485 in north Charlotte Thursday morning, according to officials .
The wreck happened around 9:45 a.m. on Thursday, June 5, along I-485 near Benfield Road.
Officials initially said the road was expected to be closed for hours, at least until about noon. Travelers were urged to avoid the area.
At about 10:20 a.m., two of the four lanes reopened.
As of this writing, paramedics have not reported any injuries, though they said the situation is “very busy” with “multiple units.”
