CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A man was accused of trying to steal a train from a rail yard in Charlotte this week.
Court documents revealed that 43-year-old Joseph Seigle was caught in the conductor’s car of an Amtrak train parked at the rail yard late Tuesday night.
The documents said that an Amtrak supervisor was in his office when he heard a train horn go off around 11:45 p.m. on June 3. The supervisor and Seigle then allegedly argued before Seigle got off the train and started walking down North Tryon Street.
The documents suggest that police were called after the argument and they found Seigle.
When an officer caught Seigle, he allegedly told the officers he had three alcoholic drinks. The documents said Seigle also told the officer that he “did not do anything ... [all] he did was
