RAWLINS -- "It takes a village."
Rawlins Downtown Development Authority Executive Director Pam Thayer said these words about the recent cleanup conducted in Depot Park. DDA members and local industry people joined together May 30-31 to conquer a number of projects to get the popular park ready for the season.
Thayer said this is a good way to give back -- by taking care of the maintenance for the projects the DDA raises money to build. It also takes some of the pressure off of Parks and Recreation staff, who she said are already "very busy."
"We're a team," she said about working collaboratively with the city. "It's still our city, and we want to be prideful of it."
