Police involved in the latest search for information regarding the disappearance of Madeleine McCann will not investigate the centre of Praia da Luz itself, as the investigation enters its final hours.
German and Portuguese police forces have been looking into an area of countryside with abandon buildings near to where Madeleine went missing 18 years ago.
Over the last 72 hours, search teams have used items such as diggers, strimmers, shovels and chainsaws to excavate the area, looking in wells, ruins and water tanks, as well as 21 pieces of land.
The search may be at its end today, after reports suggested unless evidence of significance is found, the investigation will not be extended, according to The Sun and The Times.
