TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) —The application deadline for Idaho’s 2025 State Flood Management Grants Program is June 6.

Every year there is $1 million of funding is available to drainage, irrigation and flood control districts. As well as canal companies, municipalities and counties.

The maximum budget for a qualifying project is $200,000, with the grants helping to cover 50% of the total cost.

Eligible projects include repairing stream channels or channel improvement, as well as flood-risk reduction projects.

“There’s also a lot of flood risk here in Idaho, and it increases with development, and increasing development means you have areas that are exposed to new flood risks and it’s important to be able to adapt and address those situations,” said Neely Miller, Water Resource Planne
