The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is investigating a shooting involving police that occurred in Gahanna on June 5, according to BCI spokesperson Steve Irwin.
Gahanna police were called to the 300 block of Lincolnshire Road at 9:39 a.m. on the report of a suicidal individual, said Dan Pearlman, the city's public information officer.
One officer fired their service weapon, and one individual was shot. That person was transported to an area hospital, and they were speaking to officers before being transported, Pearlman said.
The shooting did not leave any officers injured, Irwin said. The Gahanna Police Department requested BCI support after the shooting.
Pearlman said there is no ongoing threat to the community.
