DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, DC — David Archuleta is gearing up to take the stage at Capital Pride during WorldPride DC 2025, and while he’s no stranger to big performances, this one feels different.

"I've actually been a little nervous because it's like a big deal," Archuleta told WUSA9's Wisdom Martin on Wednesday. "I go on right before Cynthia Erivo, who is an amazing singer, but I'm also really looking forward to it. Everyone sharing our stories together and just supporting each other in the community."

That sense of community, he said, is at the heart of Pride. “It’s a fun celebration. It’s like party time. But also the most significant part for me is getting to share my story and journey,” he said. “The reason behind the celebration is because it wasn’t easy to get where we are.”
