CASCADE, Va. (WDBJ) - A woman has been arrested after sheriff’s deputies found a man with a gunshot injury, according to Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Department officials.

On the morning of Wednesday, June 4, deputies responded to a call of a shooting off Cascade Mill Rd. in Pittsylvania County, where they found the victim.

With the help of the K-9 unit, Sheriff’s deputies identified and arrested 37-year-old Catherine Revel of Cascade, Va.

She’s been charged with Aggravated Malicious Wounding, and additional charges might follow upon further investigation.

The victim was taken to a hospital and is stable, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Revel and the victim knew one another and lived together, investigators say.
