DUBLIN, Va. (WDBJ) - In 2023, the Randolph Park Pool house was destroyed in a fire . Now two years later, the Pulaski community has gathered for the completion of the new Evelyn Alexander Waterpark .
With the reconstruction and opening of the Evelyn Alexander Waterpark and the Randolph Park Pool House, upgrades feature a re-plastered pool, refreshed waterslide and cabana options.
The pool house building is new with enhanced restrooms, a streamlined admission process and two food truck pads.
“This pool house building, this pool behind me, here today is just a symbol of resilience for this community,” director of Pulaski Parks and Rec Shay Dunnigan said. “A lot of partnerships and collaborations, a vision are now a reality now that we’re opening in the summer of 2025.”
