The Pittsburgh Steelers are hosting wide receiver Gabe Davis for a visit on Thursday. The veteran wideout is coming off a down year in Jacksonville with the Jaguars, catching just 20 passes and being let go by the Jaguars after signing a three-year deal last offseason.

Prior to 2024, though, Davis proved himself as a reliable No. 2 wide receiver who is a more than willing and capable blocker in the run game with the Buffalo Bills . In four seasons with Buffalo, Davis caught 163 passes for 2,730 yards and 27 touchdowns.

While some may not see the signing as much of a needle mover, at least one Steelers wideout is on board with the signing. Roman Wilson said he would welcome Gabe Davis joining the Steelers.

“I’ll welcome him with open arms,” Wilson said via Aaron Becker of Steelers
