South Korea has introduced Ghost Commander II, a next-generation naval carrier concept designed to combine manned and unmanned systems within a unified command-and-control platform.

Developed by Hanwha Ocean, the vessel aims to redefine maritime power projection by integrating crewed aircraft alongside a wide range of unmanned aerial, surface, and underwater vehicles.

Intended for seaborne surveillance and reconnaissance missions, the concept shares design similarities with China’s Type 076 amphibious assault ship, according to lead engineer Jeon Seoungbaem.
