A 43-year-old man died Thursday following a roof collapse in Brooklyn , officials said.

The victim was inside a shed behind a two-story building under construction at the corner of Quentin Road and E. 33rd St. in Marine Park around 8:50 a.m. when the roof of the shed, which contained an HVAC system, collapsed.

A restaurant was located on the building’s first floor, officials said.

Responding firefighters helped remove the injured man from the rubble.

EMS rushed the victim to Brookdale University Medical Center , where he later died. The man’s name was not immediately disclosed as cops first track down family members.
