A prisoner assigned to a south Arkansas work release center went missing from his job assignment in Hope overnight and is considered escaped, the Arkansas Board of Corrections announced Thursday.
Antarian Wright was convicted of aggravated robbery and theft by receiving in Columbia County and was sentenced to 15 years. Wright would have been eligible for parole in July 2028, a spokesperson for the board said.
Wright was serving time at the Arkansas Department of Corrections Work Release Center in Texarkana and was assigned to work at the Baking Company at 2700 E. 3rd Street in Hope. Wright was not at the job site when staff arrived to pick him up around midnight.
