RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — As North Carolina has become a hot zone for tech business real estate, Amazon has thrown its hat in the ring once again — this time for its AI division.
Governor Josh Stein announced Wednesday that Amazon is looking to invest $10 billion to launch a new cloud computing and artificial intelligence innovation campus in Richmond County, according to a press release from his office.
The new data center would enhance the Amazon Web Services department behind much of the development that businesses outsource.
“Artificial intelligence is changing the way we work and innovate, and I am pleased that North Carolina will stay at the forefront of all that’s ahead as we continue to attract top technology companies like Amazon,” said Governor Josh Stein. “Amazon’s investment is
