Rep. Jerry Nadler’s office shared surveillance footage with Gothamist that shows the lead-up to last week’s dramatic confrontation between his staff and U.S. Department of Homeland Security officers, which ended with a congressional aide being handcuffed.

The security camera video depicts an overhead view of the reception area in Nadler’s Manhattan office and does not capture audio. It shows DHS officers entering the reception area and briefly conversing with others in the room. An officer is then seen attempting to push past a staffer to enter a private area of Nadler’s office. The officer approaches the staffer, pushes his hand against a door, pushes his chest against the staffer and grabs her sweater.
