LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — A grand jury has indicted a Lexington woman after a fatal shooting in January on Winchester Road.

According to court documents, on May 20, Crista Moreno, 35, was indicted on a murder charge after allegedly fatally shooting Helen Taylor, 27, on Jan. 16.

FOX 56 previously reported that Moreno was arrested on Feb. 24 in Louisville and later extradited to the Fayette County Detention Center.

Lexington police said in January that, just before 11:20 a.m., officers were called to the 100 block of Winchester Road in response to reports of "unknown trouble." At the scene, the police found Taylor, who was later declared dead by the Fayette County Coroner's Office.
