HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) - A student was robbed on the way to the bus stop Thursday morning, Hampton Police confirmed.

Police received a call just before 7:30 a.m. in reference to a robbery in the 5100 block of Goldsboro Drive. The investigation determined the suspect approached a juvenile walking to their bus stop.

Detectives from the Major Crimes Unit are investigating the incident.

Hampton Public Schools confirmed in a message sent to families that the victim involved in this incident is a student at Bethel High School.
