When Mike Holmgren brought in Matt Hasselbeck to lead the Seahawks offense, he said he thought it was the "start of something very important for the Seahawks," and Holmgren had the right idea. Hasselbeck ended up being a three-time Pro Bowler with Seattle and finished his career as the franchise's all-time leader in attempts (4,250), completions (2,559), yards (29,434) and career wins (74), and second in touchdowns (174), all numbers that have since been surpassed.

Two of the quarterbacks on the Seahawks Top 50 Players list, Hasselbeck and Wilson both led the Seahawks to Super Bowls. Hasselbeck leading Seattle to its first franchise Super Bowl appearance during the 2005 season and Wilson helping the Seahawks trample the Denver Broncos in the Super Bowl XLVIII win.
