PAINTED POST, N.Y. (WETM) – A Painted Post woman has been arrested after officials say she was found to be in possession of child sex abuse materials at the end of 2024.

Renea S. Haight, 31, was arrested on the charge of promoting a sexual performance by a child less than 17 years of age, a class D felony, as stated in a release from New York State Police.

Officials say Haight was charged with the crime after an investigation, which was initiated by New York State Police in Painted Post after receiving a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children on Dec. 23, 2024. At this time, officials say it was determined that Haight had files of child sexual abuse materials.
