Greenville Fire Department Promotes Six Firefighters in Promotional Ceremony

The Greenville Fire Department held a promotion ceremony Wednesday night honoring Firefighters who have risen the ranks to a new position within the department. The choice to become a firefighter comes at a hefty price often with firefighters missing many family events and moments, instead spending 24 hours at a time within the firehouse. A sacrifice that should be recognized and rewarded. Dedication, hard work– compassion for the community are just a few things said of those Greenville Firefighters promoted to new ranks. Caring for those in situations where others might turn and run in the opposite direction is an innate quality that can’t be taught and in reflection of their work in the Greenville community each promotion marks a renewed beginning dedication.
