TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A body was found Thursday morning, June 6, at the Sullivan County Jail, resulting in Indiana State Police launching a death investigation, according to Sullivan County Sheriff Jason Bobbitt.

"At the request of the Sullivan County Sheriff, the Indiana State Police are conducting the death investigation," said Indiana State Police Sergeant Matt Ames.

The identity of the body has not been identified at this time. Sgt. Ames said an autopsy has been scheduled for Saturday morning.
