FISHERS, Ind. – A fiery crash involving two semi-trucks on Interstate 69 near Fishers has resulted in at least one fatality and a complete shutdown of the highway in both directions Thursday afternoon.

The collision occurred around 1:45 p.m. Thursday, according to the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT). Dispatchers confirmed that two semi-trucks were involved, with one erupting in flames following the impact.

Emergency crews are on the scene. While at least one death has been confirmed by INDOT, it was not immediately clear if there were other injuries.

As of 2:30 p.m. Thursday, all northbound and southbound lanes of I-69 remained closed. The Fishers Police Department reported that traffic is being diverted off the interstate near exit 210 (116th Street/SR 37).
