OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Residents living in City View apartments have been put on notice to move out of the troubled complex by June 30.
Tamika Mease, a spokesperson for North Omaha Community Partnership , told First Alert 6 on Thursday that about 120 residents are still living in the building.
Mease said the elevators in the high-rise still don’t work. Nevertheless, NOCP along with Metro Housing Collaborative , ReImagine , and the Omaha Housing Authority are helping residents move out.
City View was put into receivership earlier this year after a judge asked for a third party to manage the property in an attempt to satablize the apartments operations. A process that could potentially lead to the sale of the property was also initiated at that time.
