PAINTED POST, N.Y. (WETM) – The annual Colonial Days celebration in Painted Post will make its return to the village on the second week of June.

The three-day celebration will take place from Thursday, June 12, through Saturday, June 14, with a variety of opportunities and activities for the community to participate in.

The celebration will kick off on Thursday at 6 p.m. with the Miss Colonial Days Pageant, an opportunity open to girls ages 4 to 18 in the Southern Tier region who are interested in representing their community, building confidence and walking the stage. All participating girls will compete for a chance to win a title, as well as receive a crown, sash, cash and other prizes.

Then on Friday, 'Rock the Block' will take place in the Village Square from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with
