The woman alleged to have spat on former interim U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Ed Martin has broken her conditions of release by targeting Martin in subsequent comments, the Department of Justice argued in a Thursday court filing.
Emily Gabriella Sommer was arrested and charged on May 22 with assaulting, resisting, or impeding a government official. The charges stemmed from a May 8 incident where Martin, now the DOJ’s pardon attorney, was being interviewed by a Newsmax reporter when someone spit on him and yelled “F– you.”
