FARGO — North Dakota State basketball head coach Dave Richman has gone the international route to fill out his roster for the 2025-26 season.

Finland native Emil Skyttä signed with the Bison on Thursday, June 5. Skyttä comes to Fargo by way of Sacramento State, where he spent the last two seasons. The 6-foot-5, 205-pound guard will have two years of eligibility remaining.

Skyttä averaged eight points per game this past season for the Hornets, starting 23 of 25 games played. He played in 29 minutes per game, adding three rebounds and three assists per game. Skyttä scored a season-high 14 points in a road game at Weber State on Feb. 20, an 80-77 Hornets win. He started the first 15 games of the season, then missed seven games to injury, before playing the final eight games of the year.
