Winnipeg police dealt with multiple violent incidents across the city overnight, including stabbings, a machete robbery, and a gun and drug seizure that led to several arrests.
Three people were taken to hospital and five were arrested during a series of separate calls between Wednesday evening and early Thursday morning. Police say none of the incidents are related, but the investigations remain active.

At 5:45 p.m. Wednesday, officers responded to a report of a man in his 20s who had been stabbed near Dakota Street and Abinoji Mikanah. He told police he was robbed and attacked by an unknown man who fled. The victim was taken to hospital in stable condition. No arrests have been made.
