LOS ANGELES – A UPS delivery driver avoided injury when a package on their truck exploded in the Winnetka neighborhood of Los Angeles.

Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded to reports of the explosion around 10:30 a.m. in the area of Runnymede and Winnetka.

According to videographers on the scene, the driver initially denied medical help but then decided to be checked out by paramedics.

An additional UPS truck was observed arriving on scene to transfer packages scheduled for delivery while LAFD Hazmat crews investigated.
