The Manitoba government delivered a wildfire update today, June 5.

The provincial state of emergency remains in effect, with 21 communities having declared local states of emergency and more than 18,000 evacuees now registered. There are likely many more evacuees who have not registered with the Canadian Red Cross.

Evacuees are strongly encouraged to register with the Canadian Red Cross at redcross.ca/2025manitobawildfires to access support services.

To date, 26 communities across the province have been evacuated, with four others currently under short-notice evacuation alerts.

There are 27 active wildfires burning in Manitoba, several of which are threatening nearby communities.
