A man who pleaded guilty to burglarizing three Cedar City businesses within the space of three weeks has been sentenced to one year in jail, followed by three years of probation.
Jayme Lynn Patterson, 48, was sentenced in 5th District Court in Cedar City on Tuesday by Judge Meb Anderson, who heard arguments from both sides, as well as an apology from the defendant himself.
As previously reported , Patterson was arrested in West Valley City on March 24 after investigators used surveillance footage and other evidence to tie him to break-ins at a Cedar City restaurant, a pawn shop and a smoothie store, with all three incidents taking place between March 3 and March 24.
Patterson was subsequently charged with several crimes, including burglary, theft and property damage. On April 15,
