Police in the Bronx are probing a brazen daytime shooting on Thursday afternoon that left two teens wounded.
NYPD sources say they are still trying to put together exactly the circumstances that led up to the gun violence at the corner of East 176th Street and Anthony Avenue in Mount Hope at around 1:18 p.m. on June 5.
Arriving at the scene, officers from the 46th Precinct found two 17-year-old boys with gunshot wounds, one with a bullet wound to the neck and the other to the arm.
Both victims were rushed to NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center and listed in stable condition.
Sources familiar with the incident report that the teens were shot from a distance, leaving police mulling over whether they were intended targets or bystanders caught in the wrong place
