The Tucker City Council on June 9 is expected to hold a public hearing and first read on an extension of a a temporary moratorium on drive-through facilities and drive-through restaurants through August 12.

The moratorium, which was enacted in February, is meant to give more time to the staff and council who are seeking ” to review portions of the city ordinances and draft new ordinances related to the regulation of drive-through facilities and drive-through restaurants,” according to a staff memo prepared in advance of the June 9 meeting.

The council was also scheduled to hold a final hearing on an application for a Special Land Use Permit for a special events facility that has been operating out of compliance for several years.
