BROOKLYN — THE FORT Hamilton Distillery, f ounded by husband and wife team Alex Clark and Amy Grindeland in 2016, is recreating 18th-century rye whiskey recipes in Industry City, says a profile by Bottle Raiders .
Their corn-free Fort Hamilton Rye, based on a local vintage from 1760, offers peach and apricot notes, while their Dry Gin, distilled with watermelon and cucumber, pays tribute to the Revolutionary War’s Battle of Brooklyn.
The distillery, open daily at 68 34th St., also produces vodka, to allow extra aging of their whiskey stocks.
