CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - The West Virginia Division of Motor Vehicles has been getting a wave of calls about a text message scheme.
The text claims your toll account is unpaid -- threatening license suspension, registration revocation and potential legal action.
The message includes a link and a deadline, urging you to pay now.
Everett Frazier, commissioner of the West Virginia DMV, said not to fall for it.
“The West Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles will not correspond with text messages, other than to confirm an appointment when you’ve requested an appointment to go into one of the regional offices,” Frazier said.
