The news follows Allyn completing principal photography on his upcoming true-life drama Clean Hands , which he wrote and directed, starring Zach Braff and Esther McGregor alongside Abigail Spencer, Holt McCallany, and Lucas Till.
Set in Hagerstown, Maryland—a Baltimore suburb situated along the notorious “Heroin Highway”— Clean Hands examines the American drug crisis through the story of a father and daughter on opposite sides of the law. The film is based on the true story of Kevin Simmers (Braff), a police officer turned recovery advocate, and his daughter Brooke (McGregor).
